[NAGDU] off leash

Yes, I had to reread this. I had in home training for my second GDF dog and
even though I didn't get the harness until the next morning, I was expected
to relieve the dog after the trainer left. Granted, GDF teaches leash
guiding, but if they hadn't, I would have most likely been expected to use a
cane to accomplish this task. For GDF home training, though, the dog is
usually left with the trainee in the home from the time the trainer brings
the dog. We were expected to keep the dog in a crate or some kind of tie
down, especially during the training period. I could understand the
Southeastern rationale if the handler was very new or if the dog was brought
to the person each day and then taken away with the trainer between training
periods (still weird, IMO), until the trainer thought the person had enough
knowledge to handle the dog, but even then, why not leave the equipment with
the new handler so they could at least get a feel for it.

I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and
procrastinate all at once.
