Most police departments have a public relations person. I would contact them and discuss the situation because they are a good intermediary for the problem.

Do you guys think that I should follow up with anyone with this issue? Now that NFB has this resolution on dog attacks, is someone documenting situations like this? I know this wasn't exactly a dog attack, but it was an incident of interference...

They said that since this pitbull really was not aggressive, just overexuberant, and they were going to put him up for adoption. I'm sure someone will take him, and most likely, the person who takes and will be an awful dog owner who teaches him to be aggressive… or perhaps not. I think that if someone takes the time to train him well, he will be a great dog.

If he had been trying to hurt my dog, I know I would have tried to do everything possible to get him off of her. But I guess I'm too soft when it comes to friendly dogs, even when they are annoying.
