[NAGDU] religious organizations and guide dogs

Sunshine:

I personally did not mean in any way to offend anyone, I as well as others
are just trying to learn about an area of what we see as discrimination. To
many of us not allowing our dogs is something we want to see changed so all
can have equal access. They would not tell a person to leave their
wheelchair or crutches if they want to enter the temple. This kind of
discussion is the only way we will all learn and how maybe things can be
changed in the future for those who do choose to bring their dogs with them.
As I said in an earlier post, each person has to do what they feel is right
for them. However, it is also the other person's right to have a different
opinion and to want to see changes if possible. I have sung in so many
different religious institutions that the differences and the way they
worship is of interest to me No offence at least on my part, just a thirst
for knowledge and understanding. .

Please, cease with this discussion. It's gone on long enough. I don't
disagree with anyone's point of view. I just know why we don't take our
dogs; in fact, explained by dog handlers themselves who have been lifetime
members.
