Actually, unless you are the "gatekeeper" at a place of public 
accommodation, you can't ask the two questions.
For example, if I approached you at a store, and I am not an employee of 
the establishment, I cannot ask you those two legal questions, nor do 
you have to answer me if I did ask them.
