My vet uses an online store, but I'm not sure of the name; I go directly from my vet's website. You could try asking your vet if they recommend any online source.
My vet says it's cheaper to use the online store, but it's still quite a lot. I guess cheap is a relative term.
I had trouble with the store my vet uses. I wasn't able to add the meds I wanted into my cart. However, there was an 800 number, and they took care of everything for me, so that was OK.
HTH.

Subject: [NAGDU] Experiences Buying Flea and Heartworm Meds On Line
Hi, all.
I found out very recently that Guide Dogs of America where I trained and
graduated with my current dog is no longer allowing anyone to purchase
medications from them unless the dog has been seen by one of the
school's veterinarians within the past twelve months. I'm not sure if
this is a new California law or a new GDA policy.
Considering Paige and I graduated back in 2015, and are in Illinois and
GDA is across the country from us and I only went there to train with a
guide dog, the chances of us going out there for anything, let alone a
routine vet exam are nonexistent. Until, of course, I have to retire
Paige, which won't be for a thousand years or so I hope. <grin>.
My local vet charges twice the amount for Paige's Bravecto and Triheart
than I was paying when purchasing from GDA.
GDA recommended Pet Meds as a possibly more affordable source for flea
and heart worm meds, they just need a prescription from my vet.
Has anyone on list used this or any other on line service to purchase
prescription medications for their dog? How does the cost compare to
purchasing them directly from your vet?
I'd like to stay with her current medications because she's never had
any adverse reactions to either the Bravecto or the Triheart, which, if
I understand correctly, is a generic form of Heartguard.
I also want to be sure the medications themselves are not expired or
otherwise less potent. I don't have issues with generic meds, but I
want to be sure I'm giving Paige something that will work as it should.
How accessible are the web sites? I have an iPhone SE and Windows 10
with several web browsers I can use.
Any ideas or experiences, good or bad, are appreciated.
Lisa
