[NAGDU] New guide dog is urinating in living room on hard wood floors.

It sounds like you maybe need to take her out more often? Even if she doesn’t appear to have to go I would still take her out and give her the chance. I have never had this problem but I can understand how frustrating this can be. If the problem continues after giving her more frequent potty breaks I would for sure have her checked out at the vet. She may have some sort of urinary problem going on.

Good luck, Janell and the black beauties!

She does not go in harness, I am going to keep her on the leach and keep other end around my free hand.

Your adorable little dog has not established a good schedule for you. You need to keep her on tie down or with you and take her out on a fixed schedule. When she ceases going in the house, you can release her from leash, but if she goes in the house again, you need to put her on tie down or leash for the rest of the day. I have found that this helps. Or you might have her tested to see if she has hormone imbalance because of having been altered. That can create such a problem in a female dog. I’ve had suchproblems before.
