Mike makes a good point. The rules have not yet been published in the Federal Register. They will be effective 30 days from the date they are published. At that point we'll need to start monitoring the airlines' policies closely to see what they do.

Keep in mind that the new rules have not yet gone into effect. They have not yet been officially published, but that is coming. I don't expect Delta to change until rules are official although I agree that they should.

Has anyone heard directly from Delta as regards their intent to change their current policy of not allowing Pit Bull-type dogs, aka Amstaffs, Staffies, American Bulldogs, APBDTs ETC. on their flights? 
I know this isn't an issue for most and is probably pretty low priority for an org like NAGDU whos members mostly have labs, but it's something I am concerned about. It is more convenient for me to fly Delta because they go to my typical destinations.  I'd love it if Delta would post something about their plans.
