[NAGDU] Introduction

Welcome to the list Becky!!!!!! If I may ask, why are you considering
owner-training? I always find it interesting why people choose to owner-train. I
really want a guide, but I'm not sure my lifestyle is suited for one. Hope you
enjoy the list!!!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Becky, I am 57 years old, the mother of three children, and
eight grandchildren. At 18 years old, a owner trained my first guide dog. A
Doberman shepherd mix. I used her for 12 years. Tried to train another, but had
young children at the time and that was pretty much an impossibility. I went to
Pilot Dogs where I got my first Doberman. Have had all my dogs from pilot, and I
got my most recent dog in September 2015. She is a beautiful female boxer named
Amelia. She is now seven years old. And I am debating over whether to owner
train another dog at some point or go back to pilot. Really want another boxer.
She still got a few good years left in her unless she becomes unhealthy or other
circumstances. I also know one of the moderators of this list. Cindy Ray.
