Not taking anonymous complaints doesn’t mean the information is always conveyed to the handler. It just means that people can’t just call up and hide behind anonymity. 

In the case of GDF’s policy, if there was a situation in which the caller might be in danger, such as a spouse, we would withhold the name of the caller. This was rare but did happen. 

The person did need, however, to give us their name and contact info to proceed with any investigation.
