[NAGDU] cruises

Hello, great question and you will undoubtedly get many responses. I love
cruising and do it whenever money and time allows. That being said, with my
specific dog and his temperament, I tend to not take him on cruises. I
found that when I have, his stress level goes up to the point where neither
of us enjoys ourselves as much as we could otherwise. Now, I know many
other guide dog user teams who Cruise successfully together. One of the
things I might suggest, especially if your dog is particular about
relieving areas, is maybe acclimate your dog to a litter box type of
relieving station, maybe even creating one in your own backyard if you have
access to it. Typically wood chips and or some kind of sand will be used by
many Cruise lines. If you decide to not take your dog, that is perfectly
okay as well. Only you can decide this. When I have not taken my dog on a
cruise with me, I will leave him at a nearby boarding facility, where he
will also go to be pampered when he goes in for grooming. I feel very
comfortable about that place and he also likes it. I find that this
provides less stress on everyone. When I get my next dog, the situation
might be different, therefore, he might go with me on cruises. Good luck.
