How paternalistic of them! I am a Seeing Eye grad. To the person from
Sweden, I could be a good thing to train as a first time because the
European schools train differently than our schools in America. You are not
treated differently outside of your individual training for your needs. At
TSE, your training team has worked all the dogs assigned to that class.
Your instructor will know your dog and how it approaches work.

Contact the schools and see who you click with. Most schools have a
contract with many rules that are common sense stuff. TSE has no contract.
They will assume you are a mature adult. They do a good job during the
screening process. During your application process, do be honest in what
your needs are, what kind of lifestyle you are looking for. Are you a
student, do you work , this type of information helps the school to provide
the best dog for you.

Good luck and welcome to the US!
