[NAGDU] Airlines and Dogfood

Hi Diane and others,
I typically carry a few days worth in my backpack, and the rest in my
suitcase for longer trips.
I'm an American living in new Zealand, and the last time I travelled to the
States with my dog I ran into an issue with having to pay an overweight
price on my bag due to the dog food.
It was a two week trip.
Cheers

Subject: [NAGDU] Airlines and Dogfood

Greetings All,

Izzo and I will be flying to Baltimore next week and I'm trying to decide
how best to carry her food. My original thought was to transport it in my
carry on bag, so that we'll have it with us in the event of an unexpected
luggage mishap or extended delay.

Of course, we've flown a few times before, but it's been close to a year,
and, for some reason, I can't seem to recall what I did last time. Then Of
course, the airline regs are ever-changing. Wouldn't want to have the food
confiscated.

What do you all typically do?

Diane Graves
