Diane,

I have flown many times with my guide dogs. I always have 2 days worth of
food in my carry on and the rest in my suitcase. I also google the nearest
pet food store prior to be sure they have the same brand dog food as I use
in case of lost luggage.

We stayed at a VRBO last year for 2 weeks. I called Amazon, (I am sure
Chewy would do the same,) and had a bag of dog food delivered to the house
the day we arrived, just so I didn't have so much in my suitcase. Worked
out perfectly.

Have fun and safe travels!!

Janell

Subject: [NAGDU] Airlines and Dogfood

Greetings All,

Izzo and I will be flying to Baltimore next week and I'm trying to decide
how best to carry her food. My original thought was to transport it in my
carry on bag, so that we'll have it with us in the event of an unexpected
luggage mishap or extended delay.

Of course, we've flown a few times before, but it's been close to a year,
and, for some reason, I can't seem to recall what I did last time. Then Of
course, the airline regs are ever-changing. Wouldn't want to have the food
confiscated.

What do you all typically do?

Diane Graves
