In case you are interested, there is an episode of Heartland, season 6
episode 8, "do the right thing", and it mentions miniature horses as guide
animals.

Subject: [NAGDU] Guide dog movie

Did anyone else watch the Hallmark guide dog movie, Guiding Emily?
Actually, it's more of a guide dog puppy movie, but still . I thought it was
OK, if I set my expectations to "Hallmark movie".

The matching process was ridiculous; the dog decided the heroine was his
person all along.

There was a scene in a restaurant where the puppy was attacked by a "support
dog", and the staff informed the owner that a "support dog" is not the same
as a service dog, and threw her out! Hooray! Wish that actually happened.
And all the people around the blind person were very helpful, always
identifying themselves, always describing things, but, hey, it was an
example. Though I wouldn't want people I see every day to identify
themselves; I know them. Still, I enjoyed it, and it was nice to see a
disabled person being the heroine and, slowly, taking control of her life. I
often feel like the media totally ignores us, as if we don't even exist.
Yo, I'm here!

If anyone else watched it, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Tracy
