Sounds like it to me. I had a similar experience a few years ago where a driver insisted on telling me that the dog needs to go in the trunk. I told her no that the dog stays with me and she said she was allergic. I did not move from my seat and my son was right next to me so he was listening to all this and he was only 10 years old at the time. She threatened to call the cops so I did the same. The cops did show up and they were useless because they said we can't get involved because this is a civil matter between you and Uber. as a result, my son didn't get to go to his cello lesson that day and it also took me a whole year to convince him to ride with me in another Uber. these drivers simply don't care about the hardship that they cause.
