[NAGDU] FW: Rideshare Rally at Uber and Lyft-Stop the Discrimination

Hi all,
How long has this BS with the rideshares been going?At least several years?
It is now time to quit "negotiations with those criminal companies and do a
class action lawsuit with big sanctions like paying huge fines, forcing the
companies to make the drivers be actual employees with vehicles being owned
by the companies. Then noncompliance drivers to be fired for violating the
ADA and probably other laws as well. The time for pussy-footing around has
come to an end. What if this was happening to people of color? It wouldn't
be going on this long, for sure. It would not be tolerated! As it shouldn't
be ever!

The companies have gotten away with pulling this crap on guide and other
service dog users. Now the don't want to pick up cane users??? What's next?
People who use walkers? People who use support canes? The elderly?

I am not able to go to the rally. That is my two cents worth. Maybe if the
companies get sued out of existence they will get it that their bigotry
won't fly anymore. Maybe we need to have on-demand paratransit and fight
for much more public transit.
