Interesting Jody,

Do you know if there are many horses who develop an allergic reaction? Also, how thick is the wool. I grew up around horses but we didn't use any sheep skin.

Another thought, do you have something like Bag Baum to rub a little on the irritated area. It's very gentle and inexpensive. It works well on irritated areas on humans. Perhaps putting something on the dog's skin at night to give them a relief would help. It's very smooth, doesn't stain or stink. It's used on the tits and milk bag on cows. In case you don't know, it's easily found in grocery and drug stores.

Hi Paula,

If you go to tax shop or feed store you might find a tube of sheepskin that is made to put on a halter to protect a horses nose from abrasion. You could use that same tube of sheepskin on the harness to protect your dogs side JODY
