Hello all,

As previously announced, we are thrilled to launch our latest project, Blind
Living Radio. Every week Danielle Creapeau and myself will sit down with
different guests to speak on a range of topics relevant to the blind
community including, life with a guide dog, advances in assistive
technology, what it's like to work with blindness or visual impairments and
much more. By raising awareness and opening up discussion on these topics,
we hope to dispel any apprehensions or misconceptions about working with
blind professionals as well as educate the business community on how to make
easy accommodations for potential employees.

This Thursday, July 10 we will sit down with our president, C.J. Lange. He
will share with us his passion for our mission as well as his vision for the
future of IB Milwaukee. As you know, C.J. cares deeply about providing the
highest quality work environment for all employees. He discusses, in detail
why that is important to him and how he plans to take it to the next level.
He also discusses the importance of upward mobility and how assistive
technology has provided limitless opportunities for the organization. Given
the right tools, anything is possible.

?At IB Milwaukee, it's not about being blind, it's about unlocking unlimited
potential,? says C.J. ?When our blind professionals are equipped with the
latest business tools and given access to technology they are able to
perform at levels comparable to any sighted business environment.?

It is also important to C.J. for listeners to understand that we are not
giving our staff the amazing results that are generated at IB Milwaukee
every day, we are simply facilitating an environment that opens doors for
opportunity and provides a level playing field. It is our staff of talented,
blind professionals that are knocking the ball out of the park.

We love taking part in projects that, not only benefit the blind community,
but raise awareness and understanding for the sighted community about what
it's like to be blind, visually impaired or disabled. If you have any ideas
or suggestions for future show topics, we'd love to hear them. Feel free to
pass them along to Danielle or myself or submit them to

Career Fair

Hi Dick

I just left you a voicemail regarding the city of Minneapolis? 14th Annual
Diversity Employment Day and Career Fair coming up this Friday, July 11 from
11 am to 3 pm at the Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown (1500 Washington Ave.
S., Minneapolis MN 55454). Additional details are on the attached flyer.

This is the largest diversity and inclusion recruiting event in the Twin
Cities. It is a free event, open to the public. We actively encourage
disabled candidates, veterans, women, mature workers and
multicultural/bilingual candidates to attend. There are hundreds of career
positions available from over 20 major local employers who are confirmed for
the event. In fact, we have one placement firm who is actively seeking blind
candidates for a machinist position.

Business attire is required and attendees are asked to bring plenty of
resumes.

Any way you can communicate this to your Career Center clients is
appreciated!

Thanks for supporting Diversity in the Workplace and Community,

Tracy
