Dear National Harbor Chapter Members and Non-members Supporters and
Leadership,

Concerns With Numerous Replies:

There has been an unusual amount of replies for the National Harbor
Listserv Intranet list as of lately.

The following request state within this email is to provide guidance of
actions for leadership, members, and non-members until the issue of concern
is resolved.

How the NFB Listserv Is Conducted:

The NFB as a whole does not have restrictions on how persons outside of the
chapter division and other listservs can respond or share information on
the listserv unless the content is offensive or vulgar or disrespectful.

Difference of National Harbor Listserv

However, the National Harbor uses the Listserv as a massive means to share
critical time-sensitive information to chapter members mostly.

Members and non-members need the listserv to swiftly gather information
without having to navigate through numerous replies etc.

Traditional Usage of The National Harbor Chapter National Federation of the
Blind of Maryland Use of The National Harbor Digest Listserve:

The National Harbor Listserv has produced information from a Top-down
format (Leadership to members and non-members majority of the time.

The Offensive Issue:

The growing concern is the usage of how redundant replies are flooding the
inboxes of members. Members should receive time-sensitive information and
not have content jammed by numerous replies etc.

Action Request:

 Leadership Content Only

Until further notice, the National Harbor Chapter requests all members and
non-members to reframe or stop all from replying directly to the listserv
National Harbor Digest to any of the topics or content within the email
threads.

How to Reply to the Senders

The majority of the leadership senders ask for you to respond to them
directly so there is no need to respond to the Listserv directly.

Please follow up with the information provided by the sender's request and
or instructions.

Non-Leadership Information Content-Sharing, Correspondence and or Replies
Etc.

If you are not the Local President of the National Harbor Chapter of NFBMD,
The State Affiliate President Ronza, or Legislative Affairs Sharon Maneki
please reach out to President Amber Woods before stating or sending
comments or content to the NFB listserv National Harbor Digest.

Chance to Address the Comment/Content Concerns

The National Harbor Chapter will have a Chapter Meeting addressing the
following issue during regular chapter meeting time the fourth Saturday of
the Month June 26, 2021 1-3 pm.

Contact President Amber Woods before or during the National Harbor Chapter
