PLAIN TEXT VERSION FOR SHARING ABOUT THE OCTOBER 2022 NDEAM EVENT
Invitation: Join us to Celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness
Month on October 19, 2022
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). To
celebrate NDEAM the Prince Georges County Commission for Individuals with
Disabilities is hosting a virtual event on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at
4:00 - 6:00 pm.
Join us for this event to learn about disability employment issues and to
celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with
disabilities. The theme for NDEAM 2022, "Disability: Part of the Equity
Equation," recognizes the vital role people with disabilities play in
making the nation's workforce diverse and inclusive.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month is held annually by the U.S.
Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy. Still, its
true spirit lies in the many observances held at the grassroots level
across the nation every year. Employers of all sizes and industries are
encouraged to participate in NDEAM.
We all play an essential part in fostering a more inclusive workforce,
where every person is recognized for his or her abilities — every day of
every month.
Join the Prince George's County Commission for Individuals with
Disabilities on October 19, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. for an informative event
on the successes and initiatives of NDEAM in the Prince George's Community.
