Greetings AAC Members,

*At Metro we are developing a new five-year strategic transformation plan
to meet the evolving needs of the region.* We have identified a new
mission and vision, along with goals, objectives, and initiatives to get us
there. We’ve also laid out metrics and targets to hold us accountable
while we mobilize and activate the plan. Before we finalize the plan, we
need to hear from you.

Our new strategic transformation plan - *Your Metro, the Way Forward*
<https://wmata.com/initiatives/strategic-plan/index.cfm> *-* will guide
long-term decision making and everyday actions for Metrorail, Metrobus, and
MetroAccess over the next five-plus years. We have a lot of important work
to accomplish in that time – we’re reimagining the bus network, building
bus garages that ensure clean air for our communities, strengthening
infrastructure, and working to deliver safe, reliable, convenient, and
enjoyable service for all customers.

*Please take a look at the plan and submit your feedback.* We want to
capture all of our stakeholders’ needs—later service, extra service, surge
service for events, bus stops in specific locations, better signage—the
list for consideration is endless as we transform Metro, and therefore the
region, together.

Your voice is critical to this process. Please share your feedback by
Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 5 p.m., when the public comment period ends. Visit
wmata.com/strategicplan
<https://wmata.com/initiatives/strategic-plan/index.cfm> to:

   - Read the draft strategic transformation plan
   - Submit a letter

   - Complete our survey
   <https://wmata.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?tt=uV1%2BFKdTM7MECHrPeIW9eQ%3D%3D>
   - Find out more information about the hybrid public hearing on Thursday,
Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Participants can attend in person at Northern
Virginia Transportation Commission in Arlington, and there are multiple
   ways to participate virtually

*As the final step, we ask that you share with your own email lists,
networks, neighbors, and fellow Metro customers to encourage broad and
active regional engagement. *A communications toolkit is available at
wmata.com/toolkit
<https://www.wmata.com/service/covid19/doing-our-part/resources.cfm> with
suggested newsletter text and social posts for your use.

We look forward to hearing from you! #wmata #YourMetro

Sincerely,

Anu
