National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Offers 30 National Scholarships in
2009
Each year, the NFB gives out more than $100,000 in scholarships to blind
students who are going into or are already in post secondary education. The
deadline for applications is March 31, 2009. Any student wishing to apply
should go to
http://www.nfb.org/nfb/scholarship_program.asp?SnID=434227427
Students may apply online or by mail. There are full instructions and
guidelines at the above URL. Applicants need not be NFB members, but do
need to be legally blind. If a student wins an NFB scholarship, they must
attend the NFB National Convention in Detroit (at no cost) in July of 2009.
If you have questions you may call Gary Ray, President of the NFB of NC at
(828) 505-0299.
