[Ncabs] Good Luck, Preston!

Jewel, please read the whole email that I sent to you regarding the membership committee. It also includes a link to the complete list of community colleges as well as four-year institutions. If you need me to send it again, let me know.

There is also a link in that email to a list of technical schools in the state. The list of technical schools does not appear to be complete, but it does exist.

I'm sorry that G-mail is giving you a rough time. I have not found it accessible with ZoomText, so I don't use it. Instead, I use my university's mail client, which is Windows Live email service. You may wish to try it at <www.live.com>. I know that you are a Jaws user, though, so perhaps you have no trouble with G-mail.

We all support you, Jewel.

Take care,

Justin

Ok, I talked to Preston. The table at Wake Tech is panned for Tuesday,
but he is trying to push it back to Thursday because of pesonal
issues. The time: 10am to 3pm. We told him that Mike Cox and I are
fully willing to be there, and I will work from 10am to noon and 1pm
to 3pm, and Mike will work 10am to 10:45am and 12:30 to 3pm. Anyone
else planning on attending?

Preston, make sure to keep us updated on whether it's happening
Tuesday or Thursday!

Justin, I guess that e-mail reply didn't go through...GMail is giving
me trouble with not seniding e-mails I write. The link you gave me is
great, except that I already saw that one. I'm working on the others.
While that site claims to list all the universities and colleges, it
doesn't even begin to address the 58 community colleges in the state
or the career-specific schools such as nursing schools.

I'm going to get the names, phone numbers, and mailing addresses put
in an Excel file. Once I get some of them in the file, I'll start
making calls while I continue down the line, putting schools onto the
spreadsheet.

I'm still looking for committee members. Do you have ideas for a great
advertisement of NCABS? Do you enjoy talking on the phone? Do you want
to share ideas on getting new members (and welcoming them!)? E-mail me
and let's talk! Jewel Shuping at herekittykat2 at gmail.com
