[Ncabs] NFB of NC State Convention Friday Night

I like the idea of going to a bar, but that leaves out the high
schoolers and many of the college students (under 21!). What about a
movie and popcorn? I have hundreds of movies in mp3 format with DVS
from www.blindmicemart.com. We could pick one or two (voting, of
course), people bring popcorn, soda, and other snacks, and we all hang
out either in a room or in a conference room (we'd have to bring
things to lounge on if we do it in a conference room, though!)

Another idea is an open mic evening, where people get the chance to
sing a song, tell a short story, or read poetry, while people enjoy
refreshments and listen. Comfortable lounging spots are a must for
this, too.

With either of these, we could do the vendor hall, then have movie or
open mic from 9 to 11pm....like a sleepover, sorta *grin*
