[Ncabs] Fun Events Happening this Summer!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to make you aware of several fun events happening this
summer. The first event is the Envisioning Youth Empowerment
conference which will be held on the campus of the Governor Morehead
School in Raleigh. The conference will run from August 3rd through
august 6th. Attached to this e-mail is an application with more
information about it.

As you may know, NCABS is selling tickets to the Durham Bulls games.
Each ticket is $9 a piece. On August 4th, NCABS will be getting
together as a group to attend one of the games. Check with NCABS vice
president Preston Johnson for more details on when the game will begin
as well as for more information. Those students participating in the
EYE conference will be provided with transportation from GMS to the
stadium as part of their conference.  Conference participants will
still have to buy their own baseball game tickets if they wish to
participate.

The annual state NFB convention will be held this September 9th
through the 11th at Clarion Sundance Hotel & Spa in Winston Salem.
Please check www.nfbofnc.org for more details on the price of
registration as well as the price of hotel reservations and banquet
fees. NCABS will be attending the convention, and will hold our yearly
business meeting there. During the meeting, new board officers will be
elected. Now is your time to step up and become an integral member of
NCABS. NCABS will also be hosting a student movie night, so be sure
not to miss that.

The next few months offer an opportunity for you to get involved in
NCABS at a great time. The summer holds lots of chances for you to
meet and get involved with the group. As always, our monthly
conference calls are held on the second Monday of each month. Check
out www.ncabs.org where you will find the call in numbers as well as
other ways to get involved.
