Yo Fellow Blind Students of North Carolina and everyone else!

Thanks for coming out to the call and thanks to everyone who is reading the email who didn't call in. The minutes are below. I feel like I should say something unrelated just to keep my common email theme going, so check out the reggae/island stations on itoons radio, some good stuff there.

Minutes follow. If I spelled your name wrong I'm sorry:
Meeting called to order at 9:38.

Attendence:
Justin Salisbury (President)
Julius Locklear (Treasurer)
Lea Williams (Vice President)
Alan Chase
Gary Ray
Justin Thornton
Maranda Anderson
Shawn Melan
Kevin Currin (fly secretary)

Justin working on seminar and relationship with super conference for 50-50% sponshorship split for each.
Need to get people to call vendors (should be able to start calling vendors as early as Saturday).
Following offered to recruit vendors:
Justin Salisbury
Kevin Currin
Lea Williams
Justin Thornton

Sponsorship
Established rates for tiered sponshorship levels last call.
Now talking about title sponsorship. Justin and Gary proposed a system where we offer a title sponsor all of the following in exchange for a $500 sponsorship (I know the grammar isn’t correct):
1.	Putting their name after our seminar name (such as 2011 Seminar sponsored by ---).
2. A 20 min presentation during our afternoon sessions
3.	Buy them a space in our vendor hall
4.	Give them food (lunch ticket)

Had a motion to accept this proposal for title sponsor and it passed unanimously.

Lea has been dealing with business cards.
Alan suggested buying own business card paper and making templates in ms word to make our own business cards. That way we can make them more personalized.
This brought up discussion of pros and cons for getting a printer to make the cards or having someone in NCABS to do it.
Justin Salisbury pointed out that we might not need that many business cards so Alan’s idea would be good for low demand.
Justin Thornton agreed that business cards would be useful but would probably be on occasion.
Alan offered to put in time, ink, and paper into make cards (1.5 million on request just…ha jk).

Julius reported budget is around $1400 but will get back to us with definite number later.

Gary Ray said he can get our site on state servor whenever we tell him. Shawn said currently site is still on servor that it has previously been on.

---
Thanks and have a great week!

Kevin
