Subject: Fw: [Nfb-legislative-directors] Week of Action for HR 831

Dear Board members and Chapter presidents:

We are gearing up for action once again. See below!

For the chapter presidents who are on the Board, I am very much seeking a contact person in your chapter who has excellent computer skulls with e-mail and who will be the responsibility party for handling legislative matters in your chapter. You, as presidents, don't have time to handle legislation as well as everything else! Please send me the person's email and phone numbers.

For those chapter presidents not on the Board list that Ron usually contacts, please also send me a name, email and phone numbers for the responsible person in your chapter who will be handling legislative matters for your chapter. If your will still be your chapter's contact person, please let me know that, too.

I look forward to hearing from everyone immediately!

Thank you!
Sharon Newton

Legislative Directors:

It is time to make a push for support for HR 831. We are up to 77 co-sponsors. This is good. However, we need more!

Next week is going to be a week of action. Tweet, Call, Email.

Tuesday, May 6 will be Twitter Tuesday.

Wednesday, May 7 is Call Wednesday and

Thursday, May 8 is Email Thursday.

I will be sending you more information soon-twitter handles, phone numbers, and email addresses. I seriously think that if we all do our part, we can gain co-sponsors on HR 831: Fair Wages for Workers with Disabilities Act.

Looking forward to the Blitz that the NFB can do better than anyone.

Yours in the fight for fair wages,

Rose

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
