The 3rd annual Glow-A-Thon is a Walk-A-Thon hosted by the Wake County Young
Women's Leader Academy to help raise money for youth with visual
impairments to attend the annual Envisioning Youth Empowerment Retreat. The
annual EYE Retreat aims to prepare youth with visual impairments for
college through peer mentoring, resource sharing, and real world
application of skills. In 2015, we served 51 students from 8 states and 2
countries. The EYE Retreat is now in its 8th year! Food and soft drinks
available! $10 admission. The event is scheduled for Friday, April 8 from
6pm to 9pm on the Governor Morehead School campus in Raleigh, NC. Please
enter through the Western Blvd entrance and park beside Lineberry Hall at
the bottom of the hill.
