[ND-Talk] NFB of ND Communications Seminar-you are invited!

Welcome to a unique opportunity to be part of changing people's lives! The
National Federation of the Blind's core belief is to help blind and low
vision people live the life they want. We in the North Dakota state
affiliate are embarking on a whole new mission to bring that philosophy
directly to citizens of our state and beyond.

 

You are invited to join us for our Communications Seminar at the 

Fargo Public Library, 102 3rd St. N (main branch)  

Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10 AM to 12Noon 

 

Here's our agenda for this event:

1. Review our existing social media and web communications

This portion of the seminar will focus on all our outward facing, outreach
oriented, processes.

2. Internal communication

*Email

*Data bases

*Social media

*Analog

This portion of the morning will focus on how we talk to each other in the
organization and how we share such things as contact information and other
important resources.

3. Our message

*What are we saying?

*Who's saying it?

*How often are we saying it?

*Where are we saying it?

 

4. Who's invited

*Existing NFB members: Invite any current person in the membership who would
like to help reset this part of our organization. This is a purely volunteer
invitation and we hope to see you there.

*Former or potential NFB members: Have you been with us in the past or are
you looking to see what the NFB can do for you? Our mission in ND is to
empower you and help you get the most out of yourself. This meeting is a
great opportunity to meet us and tell us who you are and what you can do.

*Friends, family, and newcomers: Our organization is here to help blind and
low vision users but we're also here to help educate and aid everyone. If
you are a kind hearted individual looking for an opportunity to help and you
have skills related to this event, we'd love to meet you.

 

The seminar is chaired by our Communications Director and NFB ND board
member Richard Early. We will provide donuts and coffee for all attendees.
Richard will have an agenda ready to go and this will be a working event.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you there to help us
empower blind and low vision people to live the life they want!
