Good Morning Milton,

 

We are reaching out to let you know that Gateway Pharmacy South located in
Bismarck, ND now has ScripTalk - audible prescription drug labels available
for patients who are blind, visually or print impaired.  ScripTalk labels
with RFID capability are attached to a prescription bottle and programmed
with all of the printed label information.  At home, the patient places the
medication container on a prescription reader unit and hears the label read
aloud with a press of a button.  

 

The patient will hear the entire label read aloud including:

*	Drug name, dosage and instructions
*	Warnings and contraindications
*	Pharmacy information
*	Doctor name
*	Prescription number and date

 

ScripTalk Station Prescription Reader is the only audible prescription
reading device to meet all federal requirements listed under the Federal
Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and
Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

 

We have partnered with En-Vision America, Inc. who will provide the
prescription reader unit FREE to qualifying patients.    These patients in
Bismarck and Mandan can start getting their prescriptions locally with
Gateway Pharmacy.

Do you have patients that would benefit from this program?  If so, they can
call a Pharmacist at our Gateway Pharmacy South location (835 S Washington
St. Bismarck, ND 58504) for more information at 701-223-1656.  There is a
patient approval form that needs to be completed and then faxed to Envision
before the prescription reader is sent out to the patient. Please let me
