Hi all

I sent this list but Cheryl replied that she did not get it so I will send
it again but instead of pasting it to the email I will send it as an
attachment.

I went to Iowa City to the Opt homology research center and there is good
news for those of us who have Stargardt's so am anxious to share this with
you all.

I am home now but will be gone in a few days again. In between time I am
trying to accumulate hours at work to pay for all my adventures!

Talk soon, KLem

Hi You All

Yeah, didn't write the date change in my calendar; it is there now, along
with several other important dates!

And so here is what you need to know to join us for our August meeting:

The date: Thursday the 28th

The time for the call: 6:00 PM Mountain and 7:00 PM Central

The phone number you will dial: 267-507-0400

Access code: 203747Pound

The rest of this message is the same as the first one-all very important
stuff!

Karen, if you can get us the names and numbers for people in your area who
may need an assist to join us on the call, then we can contact them prior to
the meeting, and get them talked into trying our 3 way experiment.

In addition, find attached a list of our current membership roster. Some of
these people have not been joining us on the calls. MMM, I best find out if
they have been added into our mailing list! And so we should make an effort
to call them! (I will email all those on this list who we've not seen on our
calls, and.also to those who were guest, and did not join our division at
our 2013 convention meeting.) We will need to divide up this list, and swear
to follow-through with a phone contact!!! In fact, how about each one of you
make a call to a member you have not talked to for a long time and see what
they are doing; encourage them to join our call, and to plan to make it to
convention.

Topic for this meeting: Our new one minute message, which I see as one super
great statement of our basic NFB philosophy. Below are the 3 short sentences
that make it up; read and be prepared to discuss their meaning:

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

And/we will not forget to address any special need that someone on the call
may have.

Also, bring your brags and drags!

See you all there.
