Karen, I couldn't find the Recognizer by that name in the app store. Do you
know its name there? I think it's a bummer that some things have a name in
the app store that doesn't transfer to the icon that ends up on the iPhone
home screen.
Thank you.

Hi ,
To clarify what I was talking about concerning the apps: the bar scan that I
used is simply called scanner and the recognizer is different than what I
said..sorry.. I now use the weight watchers bar code scanner as I said but
the other one works fine too. What the recognizer ap is happens to be very
cool too. You can get untagged bar code stickers and then name them through
the recognizer app. So for example if you want to put a bar code sticker on
your CDs, you can get a reader to tell you what the cd is and then tell your
I-phone which will remember the bar code on it. Then you can scan that and
it will tell you what the cd is.no more reader! It will also scan something
in front of you and read it. I don't ever pay much for apps and I know the
scanner app was free but I may have paid a dollar for the recognizer but I
can't remember. The recognizer is also handy if you want to mark your shoes
or clothing so you don't dress weird. So that is that. why Why have
anything else but an I-phone? I use it for everything from GPS to reading
books.
Sorry I was not clear on this at the phone meeting. My brain becomes quite
inadequate after dealing with tourists all day! Ha
Later,
KLem
