NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND OF NEBRASKA SENIOR DIVISION SECRETARY'S REPORT



Monday, December 14, 2020



The NFBN SENIOR Division met via Zoom on Monday, December 14, 2020. 
President Robert Newman called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM CST. 
Members present were: President Robert Newman, Vice President Barbara 
Loos, Secretary Linda Mentink, Treasurer Cheryl Livingston, Board 
Member Nancy Oltman, Chris Boone, Jo Boshart, Gina Finnell, Brad 
Loos, Steve Senteney, and Jerry Whitlow.



Brad recited our NFB pledge. Jo will recite it next month.



We shared how we will spend Christmas Day and days surrounding it.



Linda read the November Secretary's Report. At Robert's suggestion, 
she made a slight change in the paragraph about our next meeting. Two 
other corrections were also made. The report will be made a part of 
the permanent record of the organization.



Robert mentioned that he sent to our listserv a link to the affiliate 
website which we can use to pay our 2021 Division dues. He explained 
the process.



Cheryl read the December Treasurer's Report as follows:



Treasurer's Report Senior Division



Monday, December 14, 2020



Beginning Balance $904.83



Expenses



PAC for December $15.00



Deposits



Dues $60.00



Ending Balance $949.83



Note: We have received dues from the following:



Linda Mentink, Jerilyn Whitlow, Nancy Oltman, Bob Riley, Steve 
Senteney, Geralynn Konruff, Cheryl Livingston, and Christine Boone. 7 
were by check, one was by Paypal.

Gina asked if she paid dues for two years last time. Cheryl and Linda 
will check and get back to her. The Treasurer's Report will be made a 
part of the permanent financial record of the organization.



Robert mentioned Shane Lowe, one of the lead people in the creation 
of Supersense, which is an app similar to Seeing AI. He explained a 
little about the app. Others were interested, so Robert will contact 
him to ask him to speak to us next month.



Barbara and others liked the idea of having other Senior Divisions 
join us, and would like us to do that again.



We shared updates, brags and drags.



There was no further business, so we adjourned at 9:00 PM.
