Linda, sorry this is at the last minute. The only correction that needs to
be made that I found when I read the report in Braille today is that Steve's
last name is written "Sentiney" instead of "Senteney". It is correct in the
roster, so I know you know how it is spelled.

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND OF NEBRASKA SENIOR DIVISION SECRETARY'S
REPORT

Monday, February 7, 2022

The NFBN Senior Division met via Zoom on Monday, February 7, 2022.
President Robert Newman called the meeting to order at
6:58 PM CST.  Members present were: President Robert Newman, Vice President
Barbara Loos, Secretary Linda Mentink, Treasurer Cheryl Livingston, Board
Member Nancy Oltman, Chris Boone, Jo Boshart, Gina Finnell, Ruth Garrison,
Brad Loos, Steve Sentiney, and Jerry Whitlow.  Guests present were: Dorothy
Babel, Kathy Brahmer, Paula Cellar, Tammy Freitag, Melvin Forster, and Holly
Williams from Nebraska, and Tricia Waechter from Texas.

Cheryl recited our NFB Pledge.  Jerry will recite it next month.

Tricia Waechter was our guest speaker.  She shared her story and told us
about her company, Blind Girl Designs, which is "clothing and accessories
designed and produced by a blind woman!" She answered questions, and we gave
her ideas and encouragement.  Her website is www.blindgirldesigns.com and
her telephone number is 862-448-1011.

Linda read the January Secretary's Report.  There was one correction.  It
will be made a part of the permanent record of the organization.

Cheryl read the February Treasurer's Report.  It will be made a part of the
financial record of the organization.

Robert mentioned that Jerry and Nancy will be working together on
membership.  Jerry is excited about the opportunity and is looking forward
to meeting new people.

Robert will do a fit break during our state convention, and will call a
couple other members to ask them to do one also.

We talked a little about Washington Seminar.  Robert explained what the
seminar is to Tricia, and Barbara explained the four issues.

We shared brags and drags.

Next month we will discuss our convention Senior Division meeting agenda.

There was no further business, so we adjourned at 8:30 PM.
