Dear NABS board members and state NABS presidents,

This year the NFB Affiliate Action team is starting a new mentoring
program for winners of the Kenneth Jernigan Fund convention
scholarships. These are scholarships awarded to first-time convention
attendees, including both students and non-students. The Affiliate
Action team will be conducting several sessions for the winners and
they are looking for Federationists from across the organization,
including from NABS, to serve as mentors. Mentors should have attended
at least one previous NFB convention, and be able and willing to give
advice and guidance to the first-time convention attendees by
attending one of these sessions. Sessions will be held from 7:30 a.m.
to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the
convention, and there will also be a session on Monday from noon to
2:00 p.m.

I have been asked to collect names of NABS members who would like to
help with any of these sessions. If you are interested or know someone
from your state student division who is, please email me off-list at
nabs.president at gmail.com
and let me know which session you would prefer to work. I need all
volunteers by June 15, 2010.
