Greetings Fellow Federationists!
First of all, I want to thank each one of you for your vote during the
recent NFB of Nebraska State Convention! It has been a crazy busy couple of
weeks getting things switched over and tying up loose ends. I'm excited to
continue the work of the Federation as your state president!
With that I have scheduled our first board meeting to be held Saturday,
April 23, 2022. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. CDT. It will be held
at the Graduate Lincoln, 141 North 9th Street, in downtown Lincoln. This is
also the site of our 2023 state convention.
The full agenda will be released soon, but I promise you it is packed
with important topics to be discussed and acted upon. I encourage all those
who are able to attend this meeting. With new members on the board as well
as in the affiliate it is a great opportunity to learn what we do and why we
do it.
For those who were unable to attend our 2022 NFB of Nebraska State
Convention I have list the newly elected Board of Directors below. I know
each of them are excited to serve and ready to change the lives of the blind
in Nebraska.
* President Jamie K. Richey - Lincoln
* First Vice President Christine Boone - Lincoln
* Second Vice President Michael Hansen - Lincoln
* Treasurer Cheryl Livingston - Lincoln
* Secretary Kimberly Scherbarth - Kearney
* Board Member Nancy Coffman - Lincoln
* Board Member Rachna Keshwani - Omaha
* Board Member Geralyn K. Konruff - Chappell
* Board Member Maura Loberg - Lincoln
* Board Member Linda Mentink - Columbus
* Board Member Rebecca Stevens - Gothenburg
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Here's hoping for a wonderful week of weather and a blessed Easter holiday!
Sincerely,
Jamie K. Richey, President

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
