Upcoming Event for Blind and Low-Vision Students

A blind person’s potential for success is astronomical, even limitless.

We’re encouraging blind youth to dream big and reach for the stars with our
National Federation of the Blind  STEM2U Program!



Attend the National Federation of the Blind of STEM2U program, in Nevada a
transformative day of discovery designed for blind youth ages 8-14.

They will learn fundamental nonvisual tools and techniques for science,
technology, engineering, and math to boost their education

and career aspirations.



Join the NFB of Nevada on Saturday, August 24 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at
the Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living,



Accessible STEM lessons and

lifelong connections.

 • Accessible experiments

 • Hands-on skills instruction



In collaboration with the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), we will
become astronomers through the study of astrophysics and engineering!

Join us to build models of the James Webb space telescope, learn about the
Earth’s atmosphere, discover why the Webb was sent to space, and explore
how it studies space.
