The National Federation of the Blind’s Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on, professional experience while helping drive innovation and raise expectations in the blindness field. Interns work in a real-world environment at the NFB Jernigan Institute, building practical skills, confidence, and leadership while contributing to the organized blind movement. The ten-week paid internship runs from June 1 through August 7, 2026, and includes participation in the 2026 NFB National Convention.
