My introduction: 

My name is Joanne. I am severely visually impaired/legally blind since birth.  I live in Plattsburgh, NY (Bbbrrrrrrr). I am a TVI. I am happily married to John; and we have 3 boys (all sighted) age 18, 13, 15.5. I am very much involved in many community activities (work, volunteer, and pleasure). I am the co-coordinator for the NFB BELL Program that will be hosted for the first time this summer in NY state.  I also currently play indoor soccer. 

I look forward to many conversations, etc from those around the state.

PS...I think I met you Kara, 2 years ago at the NFB state convention. We were in the pool and Myat was there.

Just to introduce myself:
My name is Kara, I am the mother to a totally blind 8 year old amazing son, Myat. In January of 2013, he also was identified as having bilateral hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids since February. He is our only child. Also, professionally, I write audio description, mostly TV shows for kids.
