Disability Rights Advocates (“DRA”) is investigating complaints from blind and visually impaired individuals who have been unable to access online dating services in the Northeast. We are interested in speaking with legally blind individuals who use dating services but have been unable to successfully use part or all of the services because of the inaccessibility of the website or app, or who avoid using such dating services because they have heard that such services are inaccessible. Examples of dating services are: Coffee Meets Bagel, Match.com, Tinder, OKCupid, Zoosk, OurTime, and eHarmony.

If you are legally blind, you use or want to use an online dating service, and you believe that an online dating service is inaccessible to persons who use screenreaders, we would appreciate speaking with you about your experiences. We would also appreciate speaking with you if you have avoided using such services because you have heard that such services are inaccessible to screenreader users. To share your experiences, please contact Claire Stanley by phone at (510) 665-8644 or by e-mail at cstanley at dralegal.org.
