Opportunity to participate in a Cornell research study:
Our research group at Cornell University (NYC-Roosevelt Island Campus) under the leadership of Dr. Shiri Azenkot is conducting a "Study on Barriers to Adoption of Technology by Adults with Vision Loss". We are looking for volunteers to participate in a study to help us with our work!
The Objective of our research is to explore the major barriers to the adoption of technology by adults who have undergone vision loss. This study consists of a single session face-to-face interview that will last about 1 hour and will be conducted on Cornell-Tech's Roosevelt Island campus or at local low vision service centers. We will ask participants about their use and experience with technology and other tools.
Participants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have low vision (i.e., a visual impairment that cannot be corrected with contacts or glasses)
- Have experienced vision loss at some point in their life
Participants will be compensated $15 (or a $15 gift card). If participants require financial assistance with transportation to the study location, we will pay for their transportation expenses up to $30 upon presentation of receipts.
If you are interested, please contact
ek544 at cornell.edu (Elizabeth Kupferstein)
We look forward to meeting with you and learning from your experiences!
