Thursday September 13, 5:00 PM - 6:45 PM
Website accessibility is an essential part of any business or organization.
Learn about the website accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0) in this workshop
about testing websites with a screen reader. Attendees will hear from Walei
Sabry (NYC Department of Information Technology) about how to use JAWS and
NVDA to test websites and what to look for. We’ll cover some of the most
common barriers on the web, best practices for eliminating those barriers
and examples from popular websites.
We're at 40 West 20th St 8in Manhattan; online participation is also
available. Visit talkingbooks.nypl.org for full directions and to check out
other upcoming events.
