TOUCH TOUR



Visitors will participate in an orientation session using tactile models of our historic tenement as well as architectural features before going on a tour that will include touch objects and verbal description. The orientation and tour will be an hour and a half long, followed by a reception featuring local Lower East Side foods.


  


Wednesday, February 27th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 


  


Sweatshop Workers


Pay a visit to the Levine family's garment workshop OR the Rogarshevskys' Sabbath table at the turn of the 20th century, when the Lower East Side was the most densely populated place in the world. Explore how immigrants balanced work, family and religion at a time of great change. 

  


3rd Floor - Recommended Ages 8 and up.
