We still have several spots available. Email me if you would like to
participate.
April Conference Call for Blind Single Parents: The NFB Blind Parents Group
is hosting a conference call on Monday, April 1 at 9:00 PM Eastern, 8:00
Central, 7:00 Mountain, and 6:00 Pacific Time. This month, we’ll be
discussing issues that affect blind parents who are single, divorced, or
widowed. Call participants do not need to be current NFB members, but must
be blind people who are currently single parenting children of any age.

Discussion leaders will be two blind parents, Nicole D Fincham-Shehan and
Rosa Gomez. Nicole D Fincham-Shehan is the mother of three children, and
was a single parent until her oldest daughter was 14. She is the
Coordinator for the NFB of Florida Blind Parents Initiative. Rosa Gomez is
an Assistant Deputy Director at the California Department of Rehabilitation
and the single mother of five children who are in high school and college.

Besides the discussion leaders, this call will be limited to ten
participants. You can sign up by emailing Stacy Cervenka at
stacy.cervenka at gmail.com with “Blind Parents Call” as the subject line.
(Please be sure to use this exact subject line.) Please let her know the
ages of your children and any questions you would like to be sure are
addressed during the call. Thank you!
