With over 900,000 accessible titles available in our collection, Bookshare is a vital service to support reading. Bookshare books come in a wide variety of formats including
Braille, EPUB, DAISY and Large Print and can be read on smart phones, tablets, laptops, NLS players and braille devices. Books are downloaded just like BARD books. We work directly with publishers so we have the newest best sellers in our library typically
the same day as Amazon. Anyone can visit www.bookshare.org to peruse our collection. In order to download books, you must be a member with a qualifying disability, such as a visual impairment.

Finally, the New York Public Library has purchased Bookshare memberships for its patrons. Anyone who is a member of the Andrew Heiskell Branch in New York City, or the Albany
Branch of the New York Talking Book and Braille Library have access to Bookshare for FREE. In order to get a promo code for a free membership, contact the library via email  talkingbooks at nypl.org or phone
(212) 206-5400.

Thank you, Vanessa and Tony
