Have you always wanted to write a resolution for our State Convention, but
the process seemed too intimidating?


Have you ever sat in a General Session listening to a resolution being read
out, and thinking of a whole host of questions you want answered, and a
handful of changes you would like to make?



Well, wonder and worry no longer. Please join Chancy and Heather this
Thursday, September 23, at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.



We can give general, or specific info, to help make the resolution writing
process less intimidating, more accessible, and help empower everyone in
our affiliate who wishes to be involved in the resolutions process.



While we can’t sit down and help you go through an entire resolution
writing process during this meeting, this is a great opportunity to ask
questions about:

·         How the resolutions process works

·         What the components of a resolution are

·         What is the formatting

·         Where you can find examples

·         What issues can best be addressed with a resolution

·         How resolutions ultimately set our course, with regards our
collective action during legislative seminars, and

·         Other educational and advocacy efforts.



The affiliate engages in a wide variety of actions.  These take a variety
of forms, but resolutions are determined by the will of the membership that
are submitted, approved, and voted upon every year at our State Convention.



Convention is only a month away, so the time to ask your questions, and
start drafting your resolution, is now. Chancy and I are here to help, so
please come and pick our brains, and make this year’s resolution efforts
awesome. Remember, the only stupid question, is the question that doesn’t
get asked.
