The Virtual Agenda for the NFBNYS Pre Convention programming is live on our
website! Everything kicks off this Monday, December 4th. The Virtual
Experience Agenda that pairs with the in-person portion of our state
convention will go live prior to the start of the in-person event on Friday,
December 8th, also on our website.

Snapshot of Events:

Monday, Blind Diabetics of NY has a cozy virtual pajama party, and the New
York Association of Guide Dog Users has an in depth look into the many
compelling 1 and 5-star experiences that come along with being a guide dog
handler to help out prospective handlers who are on the fence.

Tuesday the Blind Seniors of New York and the Blind Parents of New York are
holding their meetings to reflect upon 2023 and plan ahead for 2024.

On Wednesday, our DEI Committee has a great discussion planned, featuring
Samelys Lopez who will be exploring the intersection of Disability Rights in
the Human Rights context.

Thursday will be reserved as a travel day for our in-person attendees but
come back and join us on Friday for a townhall meeting with NYSCB, the
NFBNYS Board Meeting, and workshops on a variety of topics relevant to Guide
Dog Handlers, blind parents, parents of blind children, blind educators,
blind seniors, diabetics, blind students, and professionals, and more, all
centered around our theme of creativity. The NEWSLINE presentation and other
entertainment to follow at hospitality night will also be hosted on Zoom.

On Saturday we'll begin with streaming of our NEWSLINE breakfast
demonstration and discussion, and our full general session will also be on
Zoom, followed by our Banquet speeches and presentations in the evening.

We'll wrap up on Sunday with our business meeting, also available as part of
the virtual experience. Again, all of the details for Friday/Sunday
programming will be available in the second half of the virtual agenda,
coming soon.
