Hi Ramona, yes, I am very interested in seeing this pattern if there is more to it than you already shared with us please.
Have a very safe and enjoyable trip to Arkansas to see your Mom, and, God Bless her, Terry, Sophie and I hope and pray that she is doing well for her age.
Henry, Terry P. and Sophie

The design on the completed sweater might not be good for tweed. It is sort of a narrow garter stitch line on both sides of V's all up and down the front. One on each side of center. The pattern is 23 stitches, and I think shows up best on a solid color.
The one I am now making is an all-over design, quite simple: Purl rows 1 and 3. Knit row 2; Knit four purl 2; across on fourth and sixth row with four knit at end of row. Then you can decide how many rows between designs. Then run design between the first ones: Knit 1; purl 2; knit four across. think it would look good with almost any kind of yarn. But you can readily make a small piece of it to see what you think. It is really just a 3 row design that moves back and forth to be a little more interesting. I can take a little more time to write it better if you are interested.
Headed to Arkansas tomorrow to; check on my 101-year-old mother.
BEst,
Ramona

Hi Ramona. What kind of design did you put on the sweater? I’m looking for a sweater with an interesting design. I have some tweed yarn, and I want to make something great with it.

I finished a sweater yesterday, denim color, washed and dried it, so nice and soft. It is a pullover with design down the front. The young woman it is for came today to do some work, tried on the sweater, and loved it. Wore it all day and carried her sweatshirt home. Makes a very cold day fun!
Next one is for me, brick red with all-over design. Back is about six inches now. There are lots of other things I should be doing like filing music. But a good book and knitting a sweater makes me or allows me to procrastinate, I'm afraid. I also started a cover for my bar chair cushions. Old ones are more than ten years old, and I need 3 of them.
Best,
Ramona

I figured out a slightly confusing crochet pattern and crocheted 2 snowflakes. A while ago, I knitted a hat and put some buttons on it so I could attach whatever decorations I fancied. I used it for my Halloween cow costume, and now I’ve taken off the horns and ears and attached my 2 snowflakes. I think it’s cute. And, for Spring, I’ll crochet some flowers and leaves to put on it, and a crochet rose. Très chic. Well, I think so.
