Yesterday, I was scrolling through Netflix and decided to watch the documentary quilters. Really interesting about the inmates making quilts for foster children. Wonderful audio description I thought the voice was familiar and when the ending credits were red audio description was provided by Melissa Riccabono! And that awesome!

We have carrots in the salad garden. There are carrots, spinach, lettuce, and radishes. The tubs with the peppers and tomatoes are the salsa garden part of it. Then the other one has the other things I talked about.

What! No pot plants? Sophie asks “Where’s the Carrots?”

Her Daddy doesn’t do that kind of stuff.

I planted a garden today. We had several raised beds, one that's all stuff for salad, one that has beats, peppers, and tomatoes, one that has melons, one that has squash, and many tubs that have tomatoes or peppers. Lots of work and a little bit of sunburn, but it's going to be worth it!

For the last couple weeks, I’ve been walking around my neighborhood listening to the birds and noting where they are, preparing for the Bird-ability Blind Bird-a-thon tomorrow. I’ll walk around again where I know the birds might be and write them down to send in my finds. And another blind person is joining me, with a driver, so we may well go to a local park where there are lots more birds. I’m excited about it.
