[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Needle felting

Could you use safety eyes? They have a loop on the back to secure them in the animal. Or don’t they work with felting?

I have an old mouse pad doing nothing. Would that serve as a mat? It’s about 6X6.

If I’m wearing a glove, can I still tell what I’m doing?

Another one of us out there? Great.

You need more than a special needle and some wool. You need a mat to protect the table or whatever you are working on.

There are some good tutorials on Youtube, but most don't describe enough. There are several books on Bookshare, but again, many don't tell us enough.

For example, the latest to show up is Happy Felted animals. It depends on a special download for instructions. The best bookshare book I know of is Wool pets. It tells you how much wool to use and what shapes to mold it into.

The best sources I know of are Living Felt and Sarafina fiber art. Sarafina's instructions are very detailed. Again, she tells us the size of piece of wool to use and the size of the shapes she wants. you to use.

When it comes to colors and shading, I am lost. I also can't get the eyes right. You can use glass eyes, but those involve glue.

Cool!

It seems like all one needs is a bit of wool roving and a needle felting tool. Are there other necessary supplies?

What kinds of things do you make?

I needle felt. And yes, I would be willing to teach it.

Does anyone know how to do needle felting? If so, would you be willing to teach us how it’s done? I just saw a couple books on Bookshare on it, and it sounds interesting.
